Steel-Lite Model
The Steel-Lite Model is specifically designed to meet or exceed the security requirements of the Inspection Service of the United States Postal Service (USPS). Security features include steel facings, two top and one bottom cane bolt, grommets for locking chains, window security bars and tamper-proof bolts. The Steel-Lite Model also features 16 gauge galvanized steel facings mechanically fastened to a continuously welded tubular aluminum frame for light weight. This construction makes this model ideal for other security applications such as receiving docks in office and apartment buildings. Rigid closed-cell foam insulation is installed between the aluminum extrusions plus full-perimeter air seals are included for energy savings. Teardrop polyethylene bumpers 965mm high are included at the bottom for load impact-protection. The door-body is welded to an aluminum style and is secured to the one-piece shaft with rivets through the shaft, stile and full-height aluminum mounts to secure the door-body to the 19mm rise V-cam. Note that this cam, #SP-80, is specially formulated for the Postal Service and has different installation dimensions than other RubbAir V-cams. Optional floor sleeves for cane bolts are extra.
