Your RubbAir Doors are designed for years of trouble-free operation.
Care should be taken when installing your doors to follow the simple door installation instructions. Doors should be mounted plumb and square to assure the designed easy operation and long life.

• For best results and operation...a 6"x5/16" steel channel is the recommended jamb construction, for which machine screws will be supplied. For wood jambs, suggest a double 2"x 6" and RubbAir Door steel back plates (S/K-3) should be used for a metal-to-metal connection. Otherwise, lag bolts will be supplied with doors.
• Check doors for free swing...opening and closing. Doors should open easily with minimal effort, and should close smoothly and freely, without binding.
• If doors are sluggish...the door hardware may be dirty. Clean off dust and dirt from pocket of cam, roller bearing of cam follower, and shaft. Lubricate shaft with lightweight oil, such as WD-40, or a silicone spray lubricant. Do not use heavy grease, as the grease will collect dust and dirt.
• If doors are hard to open...or don't close completely, the hardware is binding on the shaft. Check installation for plumb and square. Place level across the top of the cam and check for square alignment. If out of square, remount door according to specifications. If the jamb is out of plumb, correct by using the shims which are supplied with every door. Simply loosen the screws holding the hardware at the top of the door, install shims as required and retighten the bolts. Check again for free swing.
• Check for header air seals and hold open pins...these are standard features on all full thickness (46mm) RubbAir Doors.
• Maintaining your doors...consists simply of monthly lubrication of the hardware with a lightweight oil or silicone spray. Door facings can be kept "like new" by soap and water washings as required. (See reverse for removing heavy dirt.) If you follow these suggestions, you will further enhance your investment.
